Jo Palmer, 2019 Agrifutures Rural Women’s Award National Winner and business founder, is coming to Upstairs!

Come and meet a successful entrepreneur, making way for other women with her startup, Pointer Remote Roles. The concept of Pointer was formed when Founder Jo Palmer looked at her network of highly qualified, professional friends who were living in rural areas. She recognised that there was a talent pool that the Australian workforce was missing out on as there was no easy way to connect with these professionals. Jo is passionate about connecting, educating and empowering rural businesses so they can access the skills and experience they need to grow tapping into this talent pool.

Jo will be speaking about her journey as a startup, some of the challenges she has overcome ,and women in entrepreneurship. There will also be a panel session that will get into the ‘warts and all’ behind the scenes of remote work.

Big thanks to Bathurst Regional Council for sponsoring this event!

Event starts at 1:00 pm at the Upstairs Startup Hub (Level 1, 203-209 Russel Street, Bathurst).

We hope to see you there!
